Beckelman+Capalino ("B+C"), a strategic advisory firm, was founded in 2005 in response to strong demand from arts, cultural, educational, and historic preservation clients to provide high quality strategic planning and project management services. The firm's founders, Laurie Beckelman and Jim Capalino, created a team of professionals with strengths in multiple disciplines in order to provide a breadth of services to its cultural and not-for-profit clients. Serving cultural and educational institutions, Beckelman+Capalino is a New York-based company with extensive experience in advising not-for-profit organizations. Through its Principals' past experiences and current assignments B+C has developed established professional relationships with colleagues throughout the construction, finance and design fields, as well as many other industries. Based on these relationships B+C is positioned to provide its Clients with access to the widest range of talent available including in the fields of architecture and space planning, real estate, technology, exhibition design, visual programming, marketing and merchandising, staffing, and educational development. In addition, the Principals are able to work on a Client's organizational requirements, from Board restructuring and development to fundraising and overall strategic planning. While the Partners had initially envisioned the firm as New York City focused organization, it has been called upon to assist clients in many other areas, including other states, Eastern Europe, and Central America.
