Beckit Inc is a WBE/DBE Certified supplier of masonry and construction materials. We work with mason contractors as well as general contractors and architects on commercial construction projects in and around the Chicago area. Our main focus is on concrete masonry block and we are the Chicagoland distributor for Van Poppelen Brothers Ground Face architectural masonry block, including Satinstone (filled ground face masonry block) and Burnished block, Van Stone (monumental veneer concrete masonry block) and Thrifte Brick (half high concrete masonry block made to look like brick). All of these products are available in our Milieu Series, which can help you to achieve LEED Certification goals by providing recycled content of up to 50% and is manufactured within 500 miles of Chicagoland projects. We also distribute Burns and Russell Spectra Glaze glazed block, an excellent cost effective alternative to structural glazed facing tile. Recently we added Green Block Insulated Concrete Forms to our distribution list. ICF's can achieve an R-Value of 40+ and can save both time and money on your construction projects. Finally, we carry a wide range of accessories, including rebar, insulation, wire, wall ties, connectors, adhesives, firesafing, tools, flashing, sealers, drip edge, anchors, Sandkuhl chimney flues, decorative chimney stacks, and much more.
