We are aiming to build a website of useful tools and a marketplace for comics collectors. Becomix is a crowdfunded database of comics, authors, and editors, and is built by users who catalogue their collections. The platform also offers the opportunity to participate in a community made of comics aficionados, where it's possible to create individual reviews and exchange information and opinions.The DatabaseThe core of Becomix is a user-built database of comics. Within Becomix it's possible to find all sorts of bibliographic information about comics belonging to any genre and from all over the world. In addition, it allows members to comment and review issues of various comics. We are working hard to launch the platform, and our passion for comics encourages us to fully realize this extensive, multifaceted project. You can help us by cataloguing your own comics collection! Becomix offers useful organizational, statistical and wantlist tools and gives the opportunity to share your passion with thousands of people.The MarketplaceThe Becomix Marketplace connects buyers and sellers around the world. Through the Becomix Marketplace, you can select the comics you wish to put up for sale in your collection and create your own global comics shop, facilitating the search for rare, special edition and/or missing editions. The Becomix Marketplace is built directly on the Becomix database, so it is easy for sellers to list their inventory and easy for buyers to specify the exact version of the comics they want.The TeamThe Becomix project was conceived by Juan Scassa, manga comics translator, musician, and screenwriter; Giuseppe Giulio Roberti, web developer and SEO; and Daniele Rasetto, project manager and multimedia developer.
