The aim of Bee Clean Soaps is to make natural, sustainable soaps which smell beautiful and feel wonderful against the skin whilst battling the plastic packaging pandemic that continues to dominate the cosmetic industry. The soaps are made using a mixture of methods. The initial range of six scents were made using melt and pour soaps. These are now being phased out in favour of our natural ranges which are made using traditional cold and hot process methods and, of course, honey. Our natural honey soaps are made using organic essential oils which benefit both the planet and the bees that inspired our sustainable soap range. We aim to support local businesses and fund British labour by sourcing our ingredients from independent and wholesale suppliers directly- both farmers and markets alike. This also allows us to ensure that our ingredients are coming from producers with high standards and reduces our carbon footprint. Bee Clean Soaps began its journey in a small village in North Yorkshire with the desire to reduce unnecessary plastic waste in the household. With a passion for the environment and by finding more ethical ways to manufacture, the company has developed and grown. Bee Clean Soaps has been built on the love and support of family and friends who frequently muck in and help where they can, whether its lending technical support, business know how or simply a pair of hands to help lovingly wrap each soap bar.As a result, the company has expanded from a micro business born in a kitchen to establishing its own workshop and being stocked in some fantastic businesses. We are now an enterprise run by four Yorkshiremen who aim to keep our business where our heart is: home. Our mission is to continue bringing high quality, all-natural and sustainable British soap bars to the market whilst reducing plastic by-products. We use organic ingredients local to Yorkshire, wherever we can, and keep our soap bars, shampoo bars, lotions, and salts free of additives
