Farming - Perth, Western Australia, Australia
The Bee Industry Council of WA represents all beekeepers in Western Australia, including commercial, semi-commercial and recreational. There are more than 150 commercial beekeepers (greater than 50 hives), and about 4000 recreational (less than 50 hives). BICWA was formed in 2015 to bring together all the groups and organisations representing beekeepers. It now has a new constitution and membership categories suitable for everyone involved with or interested in beekeeping. Membership is available via our website. BICWA provides a unified voice to the community and government on issues important to the beekeeping industry, including, but not limited to, access to native forests, controlled burning, biosecurity, pollination, research and development, training and education and promoting the importance of the cleanest and healthiest honey in the world. We welcome you to join our exciting industry www.bicwa.com.au.
