Behbud Association, Karachi is a registered non-profit organization focusing on poverty alleviation and empowerment of underprivileged and marginalized communities through interventions in education, health, vocational training, income generation and helping hands relief.Our main areas of operation are Railway Colony, Clifton, and Mehmoodabad."Behbud" means ‘advancement' in Urdu. Behbud Association Karachi aims to promote community advancement through a holistic development approach focusing on three major areas: Education, Health and Livelihoods. Access to quality education ensures that future generations will be more prepared to deal with life's challenges and equips them with the knowledge and skills to break out of the vicious cycle of poverty. Subsidized healthcare programs provide affordable and efficient health services to the communities where we operate and also aim to increase health and hygiene awareness among community members. Specialized vocational training and income generation programs teach marketable skills to both men and women empowering them to earn a living and become economically self-sufficient. Moreover, our organization is managed entirely by a team of volunteers which means that 100 percent of donations directly benefit the community.
