Beige Holdings Limited ("Beige") South Africa's leading contract manufacturerand distributor of cosmetics, soaps, household products, toiletries,laundry soaps and allied bath and body care products for SouthAfrican and international markets. During 2007 and 2008 the Companydiversified its operations through the acquisition of two packagingmanufacturing businesses to complement its contract manufacturingoperations. It has achieved impressive growth in recent years andboasts a host of blue-chip customers. The operations are undertakenby eight clearly focused subsidiaries, located in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape.The majority of Beige's products are produced for Southern Africancustomers comprising a range of multinationals, such as Johnson& Johnson, Unilever, Reckitt Benkiser, Johnson Diversy, Novartis andJanssen Cilag, FMCG companies including Tiger Brands, AdcockIngram, Avon-Justine, Thebe Medicare and Incolabs, and retailerssuch as Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Woolworths, Clicks, Dischem, Edgars,Foschini and Truworths.In December 2003, Beige became the first Company to list on theJSE's Alternative Exchange (AltX) and subsequently appointed MarkDi Nicola as its CEO in 2004. In February 2009 Thebe Investment Corporation (Pty) Ltd acquired a33.45% interest in Beige, thereby increasing Beige's BEE credentials interms of shareholding.
