The International Meeting Center Beit Ben Yehuda opened its doors to guests from all over the world in 2004. It consists of two main buildings: a new construction, housing most of the facilities, and the adjacent historical family home of Eliezer Ben Yehuda, who recreated modern Hebrew (Ivrith) , the everyday language of Israel.The complex is associated with Aktion Sühnezeichen Friedensdienste (ASF), a volunteer organization based in Germany.The International Meeting Center provides a welcoming forum for intercultural meetings between Israelis and people from all over the world. It offers a variety of seminars, programs, language courses and accommodation for all age groups.Our programs tackle social, political, historical, cultural and religious issues with a focus on the causes and effects of National Socialism. They also deal with the conflict in the Middle East, as well as German-Israeli and Christian-Jewish relations in the past and at present. The seminars offer talks with Holocaust survivors, social workers, writers and lecturers. Furthermore, you could learn Hebrew or Yiddish through our language course (ulpanim).The Seminar & Business Center offers seminar rooms fully equippedThe Guesthouse welcomes individual guests, families and groups. The professional and multilingual staff offers support in planning and organizing your stay in Jerusalem and Israel. We organize seminars and meetings as well as sightseeing tours.
