Bejnar's (pronounced BAY-NAR) has been serving the Metro Detroit area with high quality goods and outstanding service for over 100 years and thru four generations. Marcelin M. Bejnar opened the doors in 1918 at the original location in Hamtramck, MI. We were located on Joseph Campau; one of the nation's premiere shopping districts of its time. The main merchandise offered was music, instruments, and appliances. In the 1950s, second generation owners, Henry & Helen Bejnar, moved the business to its current location on Auburn Rd. in Shelby Township, MI near Mound Rd. Here, third generation owners, Dick & Louise Bejnar focused on music, appliances, and furniture until 1970 when they consolidated to strictly better quality furniture. Today, Mark and Shannon Bejnar, continue to bring experience, service, style and value as the fourth generation owners. They carry on the tradition to provide excellent personal service, not to be surpassed, and a comittment to their customers by offering quality, stylish merchandise and value. It is a testament to four generations in both good and hard times for over 100 years.Our hearts are humbled as we reflect on our history and as we look toward the future with hope.
