With today's social media outlets, so called "beauty gurus" on Instagram and YouTube have turned a "natural" makeup application into a series of long and elaborate steps which require about 12 tools, 8 complexion products, 6 eyeshadows, 4 eyeliners, 5 lip products, 3 brow products, 2 pairs of false lashes, and 2 hours of spare time. Who wants to spend all this time, money, and effort to end up looking like a distorted, unrecognizable version of themselves? The feedback I get from most clients is pretty consistent across the board: "not too much please . . . I want natural . . . Do I really need all that? I don't have much time in the morning . . ." This is what real women want, and this is what real women should have access to.
