Bella Luna Bakery and Gifts was founded in August 2013 after the owner, Marissa Blackwell, began researching the ingredients in the treats that she purchased her dogs. What she discovered was that store bought treats are frequently made with animal odds and ends, fillers, and a lot of sugar. She was then inspired to open Bella Luna Bakery and Gifts. Named after her two dogs, Bella and Luna, the shop specializes in all natural dog treats as well as handmade gift items. All pet treats are made with quality ingredients that are all natural. Marissa's view on dogs is that "dogs are more than just pets... they're family!" That is why she refuses to sell anything that she does not feed her own dogs. While the shop specialty is all natural dog treats, Bella Luna Bakery and Gifts also features handmade items, hand knit items, and hand painted items.
