OUR HISTORYThrough our work with NYTechWomen, we've been battling the sexism that runs rampant within the technology industry, but nearly as often, we talk to members who battle just as much ageism. And as our reach grows, there are women in need of resources outside NYC. We regularly received requests for finding "a women to add to my tech team", but we quickly realized that wasn't a plea for more women in tech. It was a plea for more people in tech. But we knew it would be better if that included more women. We're very proud of the wonderful community we have all built together, supporting New York women in technology. We've all seen how much our community can do to promote each other's goals and we've been inspired to add to our women-helping-women initiatives. Putting all of these challenges and successes together brought us to Bella Minds -- an all-women, educational environment that brings together all women, not just a few women in city centric environments, and gives them the resources to succeed. We believe that single gender environments breed inclusivity, that women need all the help they can get, and most importantly, we believe that everyone deserves a current education.
