Benedetto Tarantino was born in 1981 in Palermo where he lives and works. He graduated in architecture, master, in the academic year 2008-2009, with a degree in photography titled "From the terrain vague to the genial location" that explores the relationships and contradictions between the south-east of Palermo through the symbolic figure of Mount Pellegrino. He has worked as an assistant on site, for the realization of photographic campaigns, organized by Giovanni Chiaramonte and also he worked with him as an intern in the photography course at the Faculty of Architecture in Palermo. He Participate in the Workshop on photojournalism with Reza Deghati. He took part in the international meeting Ojodepez, held in Barcelona by analyzing their work of photographers and writers of international renown and after that in September of 2010 is invited by the city of Tarragona, Spain, as the official photographer of the religious festival of Santa Tecla. In October 2011 he traveled to Bucharest, Romania, where he completed a report on the city and its problems. In November 2011, places on the flood that destroyed several towns in the province of Messina. Documenting them and reporting the state of abandonment faced by those countries and their inhabitants to a week after the tragedy. He continues his research and analysis on the territory and the Sicilian landscape. He published his photographs of newspapers and national and international websites.
