Our journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic. As the world went in lockdown, it gave us more time to reflect on matters that have been neglected for far too long – our environment being one of them. We were always aware of global warming and were environmentally conscious at an individual level, but now we wanted to get the masses involved. We wanted to educate the public about the dire consequences of our lifestyle choices on the environment, and to provide simple and affordable solutions to the single-use plastic waste crisis. Hence, we proceeded with conducting thorough research to bring our ideas to life. We discovered one of the most alarming situations that arise from using plastic straws is the damage inflicted on aquatic life once the straws are dumped. Therefore, we chose to begin by introducing reusable, stainless steel straws. Not only are our straws convenient and aesthetically pleasing, they are also long-lasting and very easy to clean. In the past, eco-friendly products have been sold at a high price point, which has discouraged people from taking this small (but essential) step towards the betterment of our environment. Our products, however, are reasonably priced and of high quality, so that we can inspire millions and create a community that collectively reduces the use of plastic. Since its inception, Berdde has committed to donating a portion of its earnings to support organizations that fight climate change. With our continued efforts, we promise to innovate and introduce more environmentally friendly alternatives to our customers, so that together we can progress towards a better future.
