Research - Berkeley, California, United States
Berkeley Earth was co-founded in 2010 by Elizabeth Muller & her father Richard Muller, UC Berkeley Professor of Physics, to address gaps in the science and improve the accessibility of global warming research. All scientific papers, data, and analysis programs are freely available at www.Berkeleyearth.org.\\In late 2011, Berkeley Earth published it's findings that the issues raised by skeptics (data quality bias, data selection bias, urban heat island effect, manual adjustment of data, etc.) did not unduly bias the land temperature record. In the summer of 2012, Berkeley Earth published a paper showing that essentially all of of the warming of the past 250 years is best explained by human greenhouse gas emissions (a stronger statement than that of the IPCC that 'most' of the warming of the past 50 years is due to humans).\\Current work for Berkeley Earth involves ongoing scientific research, climate communications, and global warming mitigation.
