Computer Hardware - Richmond, California, United States
Berkeley Neuromorphic grew out of years of engineering and research at the University of California and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Daniel Burke, its founder, works with a network of local engineering talent as well as joint business ventures with a shared interest for the implementation and acceleration of brain-inspired computing systems. We are developing advanced computational architectures, circuits, structures inspired by biology. The current focus is upon machine learning hardware also known as neuromorphic computing, specialized circuits for algorithm acceleration, and incorporation of those using standard Linux APIs. The goal is accelerated systems for machine learning tasks, gene assembly, life sciences, natural language processing, computationally intractable tasks, and deep vision consumer and defense applications.
