The European Commission, following the H2020 strategies, has identified Environmental Footprint (EF) methodology as a key to better analyze the environmental performance of products and companies in the European Union. The Single Market for Green Products initiative and the Recommendation of 9 April 2013, on the use of common methods to measure and communicate the life cycle environmental performance of products and organisations (2013/179/EU) clearly demonstrate the suitability of EF.Furthermore, Category Rules on the agricultural and food sector are being drawn up, in order to improve the consistency of the Environmental Footprint approach. This is why BeSustainable targets to this specific marketplace, and provides two services:- On the one hand, the company evaluates the Environmental Footprint (EF) of our clients' products, as well as its sustainability performance (taking into account GRI indicators). Consequently, we will analyze which measures are best in order to increase our clients' sustainability and profitability.- On the other hand, BeSustainable is also a marketing platform on the Internet where consumers will be encouraged to find information about the sustainability and EF of our clients' products. The information will also be retrieved in the consumer's smartphone (smartphone application). The main goal is that the information provided in this platform is user-friendly and easy to understand, evaluate and compare. Given all those reasons, the millenial generation will play a relevant role by spreading the message, both personally and via social media.Our target market comprises those companies defined as early adopters, that is to say, those medium-large companies eager to incorporate innovative approaches in both their industrial processes and their customers' relationship.
