Beyond Borders Storytelling hosts live performance events featuring wanderlusting explorers with a story to tell. Our bi-monthly story jams serve up tales of cross-cultural adventures at home and abroad. We also offer free workshops, practice sessions and coaching for anyone who wants to develop and refine their storytelling skills.MissionBeyond Borders Storytelling bridges people and places through the art of storytelling.GoalTo cultivate a fun, diverse and supportive community where people can share unique experiences through storytelling.Not Just Story JamsIn addition to our flagship story jams, we offer free workshops, practice sessions and open mic events to help aspiring and experienced storytellers hone their craft.Our workshops cover the basics of creating and telling a story. Our story coaches can offer more advanced training and feedback as you progress through developing your story.Practice sessions are a chance to share rough versions of a work-in-progress and receive feedback and coaching in a casual, low-pressure setting. Open mics are similar but less structured than our story jams. They give storytellers a chance to rehearse their story on stage in front of an audience that may or may not be sitting down, may or may not be holding a plate of food.Story jams feature between 5-7 storytellers sharing 5-10 minute stories without notes. The stories in each story jam are unified around a particular theme. Past themes include: Are We There Yet?, Breaking Bread, Lost in Translation and Love at First Sight.
