The critical components which comprise Employee Engagement which result in discretionary effort (which in turn impacts business excellence from a profitability and customer service point of view), are Attraction (loyalty) and Activation (deliverables/outputs).Understanding engagement levels within your business on an ongoing business affords you the opportunity to make the adjustments necessary to retain top performers where it is important to do so, and attract fresh top talent to ensure continuous improvement and innovation. This data gathering can be undertaken via surveys along with smaller more regular pulse-checks. Surveys are comprised of various mechanisms (I will unpack each of these based on your companies unique needs), namely; the questionnaire, the platform via which data is gathered, the visual analytics tool via which reporting/analytics will be undertaken.
