BGProtect Ltd. was established in Israel in 2014 based on know-how from Tel Aviv University to protect nations and organizations from IP hijack attacks.Any organization connected to the Internet may become the victim of an IP hijack. Government agencies, critical infrastructure companies, financial organizations and other companies that provide external users with access to sensitive information are especially vulnerable. In recent years, IP hijacks have become a commonly employed technique by hostile governments and criminal organizations. The attackers impersonate to the victim on the Internet, allowing eavesdropping, recording and manipulating of Internet traffic. The attacker can implement various man-in-the-middle attacks against the attacked organization and its users, even when strong encryption is used. BGProtect identifies all types of hijacks regardless of the specific hijack technique used. Once an attack is identified, a warning is sent to our customers and corrective actions can be taken. Our customers receive also valuable network performance data which can be used for troubleshooting network performance issues and outages.
