It was founded in 1969 under the leadership of Dr. Dr A.N Viswanathan Pillai and administered by Bharath Hospital Charitable Hospital Society. A humble beginning with four departments namely Gynaecology, General Surgery, General Medicine and Paediatrics and it expanded to 25 departments with 175 bedded multidisciplinary super specialty hospital.
