BIE.I Bioenergie Italia is a SME founded at the beginning of 2013 to design, build and operate biomass-fired combined heat and power and wood pellets production plants. BIE.I. is currently focusing on the biofuels available within the Vara Valley, an Italian woodland close to La Spezia. Cogeneration and trigeneration from biogas are among the company's main interests as well. Finally, the company has a strong will to invest on research projects. As a demonstration, BIE.I is among the members of the International Flame Research Foundation (IFRF).
