Big Brothers Big Sisters creates life-changing friendships by matching children facing adversity with caring, adult role models in one-to-one friendships. "Bigs" and "Littles" spend time together by doing normal, everyday activities such as watching a movie or going to the park. The friendship that is built will often times last a lifetime and will create positive change in both the volunteer and the child. Studies show that kids with "Bigs" are proven to receive better grades, are less likely to use drugs and alcohol, have improved self esteem, get along better with their families and are more likely to graduate from high school and college.
