The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Indiana is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Indiana provides one-to-one mentoring to at-risk children and youth in Jackson, Jennings, and Scott Counties. BBBS specializes in screening, training, and matching volunteers with children who, for a variety of reasons, could benefit from a positive, caring role model in their lives. We offer the following programs: The COMMUNITY-BASED MENTORING PROGRAM is the traditional Big Brothers Big Sisters program, where volunteer "Bigs" and children "Littles" get together in the community 2-4 times per month to share fun, everyday activities. In the HIGH SCHOOL BIGS PROGRAM, high school student volunteers are matched with a child at a local elementary school. They meet once a week in an assigned location at the school. The LUNCH BUDDIES PROGRAM matches volunteers from the community with older elementary and middle school students Together they meet for lunch once per week during the school year.
