Big Circle Studios Details
Big Circle is a social enterprise co-founded by Kiera Crowe Pettersson and Matthew Edwards. The project - one part research lab, one part design studio - uses tenets from circular economies, biodesign, and materials research to imagine and implement ways in which design can be used as a tool for waste and pollution innovation. We aim to use our data and insights from development and production to create blueprints for sustainable cities in LMICs, committing ourselves to SDG's 11, 12, and 13 as well as BCorp indicators. We intend to improve the lives of those most vulnerable to waste and pollution, placing and emphasis on people involved in our informal waste economies.
