Biggleswade FC was formed in May 2016 from the successful Biggleswade Town Under 18s side that swept all before them in the Thurlow Nunn Youth League. The team also featured Keinan Davis, whose exploits earned him a five-year contract at Premier League Aston Villa.With no further pathway at Biggleswade Town available, the decision was taken to form a new senior club - Biggleswade FC was born. They applied to enter the Spartan South Midlands Football League Division One (10th tier of the National League System). After two meetings and a successful appeal with The FA at Wembley, on 7th June 2016, Biggleswade FC were awarded their place at Step 6. The decision was fully vindicated as the club romped to the title with 99 points and 170 goals scored in all competitions.The club's progress did not stop there. After a solid start to the ninth tier, finishing a creditable fifth in the SSML Premier Division, FC also reached the last 32 of the FA Vase where they were beaten by eventual Wembley winners Thatcham Town.The 2018/19 season would be the Club's most successful to date as they won the Premier Division league and cup double as well as lifting the prestigious North Beds Charity Cup for the first time in their history. FC also reached the Quarter-Finals of the FA Vase where they narrowly lost to Canterbury City in front of over 600 spectators.For the past two pandemic-disrupted seasons, the club have been competing in the Southern Football League Division One Central and have acquitted themselves well. They were on the fringes of the play-offs in 2019/20 and have also reached the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup in both campaigns.At present, the club has two senior teams with their exciting Reserve Team competing in the Bedfordshire County League Premier Division. Between the two, the club have won seven trophies to date.In 2021-22, the club will groundshare at The Eyrie - the home of Bedford Town FC.
