Biomimicry is the examination of nature, its models, systems, processes and elements to emulate or take inspiration from in order to solve human problems. With an efficacy honed by millions of years of evolution, nature has ingenious solutions to many problems faced by humanity, and in a broader context, our planet. BioMeme was established to create real solutions to pressing problems, with ideas inspired by nature. Our first creation is a novel sea energy conversion device inspired by a very small and humble aquatic creature. When fully operational this device will not only produce cheap, sustainable energy from both wave and tidal movement, it will also provide a cost effective method of producing fresh potable water through reverse osmosis desalination.
