The BIPOC Creative Alliance looks to reclaim and amplify Black and Indigenous voices. We seek to empower our talented creatives and take back our spaces within the Arts and Culture industry in British Columbia. Together, the BIPOC Creative Alliance marks the beginning of reform for Black and Indigenous creatives. Through advocating for representation and the equal and ethical distribution of wealth, the BIPOC Creative Alliance will work together to create opportunities and spaces for BIPOC creatives to come together. We seek to bring our communities to the forefront of the Arts and Culture industry in British Columbia, an industry in which we historically and systemically face marginalization. Our organization seeks to undertake activities within the next year to build a foundation for BIPOC creatives in Vancouver and the rest of the province. The space that we envision will allow for both the creation of diverse forms of art as well as a gathering place to share ideas, develop plans and build relationships. Across generations and communities, we aim to create awareness through art that is designed to reflect the future we demand and deserve.
