The Company's roots go all the way back to 1968 when it started as a family-owned business, initially dealing with cotton and tobacco. Throughout the years, Birlik established itself as a spice processing facility, located in Kemalpasa, Izmir/Turkey and added cleaning, grinding, and packaging lines. Carefully examining the trends and needs of the global supply, Birlik went into organic and sustainable agricultural projects by mid-2000, establishing contract farming and developing teams to build this model.
