Following her first birth, Janet Purcell noted the impact the change of environment made when she arrived at the hospital to have her baby. She noted how different and unfamiliar the birth suite was. Following some research, Janet discovered the benefits of birthing in a "home-like' environment. The Comfort Kit was created to transform the birth environment quickly and easily. Using affirmations and beautiful fabrics, The Comfort Kit makes a familar and calm place to labour in any setting. The Comfort Kit includes a handmade throw, printed pillowcase and a set of birthing affirmations. Birthplace also stocks a range of pregnancy, birth and mothering products from small and local businesses.
