Birthright Israel Excel is an elite lifelong business fellowship for young Jewish adults that begins with a 10-week professional experience in Israel. \\Talented Jewish college sophomores, juniors and select seniors from the United States, Canada and Mexico, as well as Israeli soldiers, students and young professionals pursuing careers in business and/or technology are welcome to apply to Excel. \\During the summer program, each Birthright Israel Excel Fellow will intern at a prominent Israeli company or participate in a tech startup pre-accelerator. Internships are at firms with global reach from a wide selection of industries, including finance, venture capital, consulting, hi-tech, bio-tech and social media. \\Throughout the summer, Birthright Israel Excel Fellows engage with distinguished Israeli leaders from business, technology, politics and philanthropic organizations on a broad range of topics including leadership, Jewish identity, the global economy, and teamwork. In addition, Birthright Israel Excel Fellows travel to Israeli sites and projects designed to encourage a deeper understanding of the State of Israel and its history. \\Upon completion of the summer programming, Birthright Israel Excel Fellows continue to network together to expand both their leadership and business acumen and join an exclusive community of future international Jewish business and technology leaders. They are joined by dozens of prominent Israeli mentors as well as North American advisers, as part of the broader Birthright Israel Excel Professional Community. ----- The Excel Ventures Program is an innovative 10-week intensive entrepreneurship training track meant for aspiring entrepreneurs from leading academic institutions in the U.S., or recent graduates thereof, and promising young Israelis. During the program, the participants will undergo an accelerated process of venture creation starting from team formation, ideation, and validation to creating an early stage proof of concept. The program provides 20 Jewish Americans and Israelis who have shown entrepreneurial potential and leadership skills with an intensive summer experience in Tel Aviv, Israel and is designed to effectively empower the next generation of entrepreneurs. Teams of American and Israeli participants will engage in a fast-paced venture creation process in order to gain effective tools and practical knowledge to launch their ventures. At the end of the summer, participants of the Excel Ventures Program will be uniquely prepared to lead entrepreneurial careers in an increasingly globalized high-tech ecosystem. Participants will be provided with extensive practical training focused on creating a real venture within the framework of the program. In addition, the program will offer opportunities to expand one’s network in the business and technology realms as well as to forge potential commercial partnerships.
