Dr. Farideh Z. Bischoff received her Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from University of Texas Graduate School for Biomedical Sciences (Houston, TX), after which she began her postdoctoral training at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She completed the human molecular genetics and cytogenetic fellowship program prior to joining the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine as a full-time faculty member. She is an expert in clinical and molecular human cytogenetics and is well known in the fields of rare fetal and tumor cell recovery from peripheral blood for non-invasive molecular diagnosis. She has published extensively and demonstrated expertise in clinical study designs and commercial assay development within the fields of prenatal, oncology, infertility and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis.
