Bitlattice is a novel form of distributed ledger, built from the ground up with the goal of achieving what blockchains and related technologies cannot - self-contained data storage that does not require any form of trust in an operator or a set of operators to account for changes. It solves inherent deficiencies of blockchains and general data storage solutions that limit their flexibility and areas of possible adoption. The main idea behind Bitlattice is to strip human actors on any impact of the network. Why?The answer is simple - any mechanism that can be influenced by humans, even if that influence is very weak or has low probability, cannot be considered reliable.Bitlattice is a mechanism which eliminates human impact by insulating inner ledger from humans. All decisions about the content of the ledger are taken by the network's middle layer which is the only authority to actually perform an operation on data, human input is considered to be merely "suggestions".We have now prepared a pre-whitepaper (a non-technical description of Bitlattice that is meant to shed more light on it, something like an executive summary).Read it carefully as Bitlattice has entirely different structure than blockchains. The solution we found is counterintuitive — Bitlattice introduces different architecture, where data is arranged in a 5 dimensional lattice.*PDF document is available to download on https://bitlattice.orgOur company is a privately held limited one (AB - AktieBolag) in Sweden.
