Bivy is a contemporary art space and bookstore founded in 2017 in Anchorage, Alaska. The exhibitions tend to put in dialogue conceptual work with object and craft-oriented work, or present performative work that has socially engaged components. Bivy's operative model is project-oriented, flexible, intuitive, collaborative and ultimately aimed at supporting the work of the artists involved in the programming. Bivy hosts a permanent bookstore dedicated to artists' books, editions and ephemera, and also publishes its own small series of publications, zines and ephemera, often in conjunction with the exhibitions. In 2020 Bivy launched the School of Nonfunctional Studies.
