Milica Tempest started experimenting with jewellery making in 2003. Since then she has taken night classes and studied different jewellery-making techniques. Being primarily self taught she always had a passion for making things and she thrives on the problem solving process. Her designs are not necessarily precise, she embraces the imperfections in her designs using hammers, files and patinas to create unique jewellery with a bohemian feel in organic and industrial shapes. She is always exploring different design techniques and has learned to translate conceptual designs in timeless and unique jewellery pieces. She launched Black Dahlia Jewellery in 2011. Her training in fashion design has helped grow her love for accessories into a thriving business. She works primarily with brass, natural crystals and authentic bullet casings, All her pieces are hand-crafted out of her Toronto home-studio and available at the following stores.
