Black Fae Day is a company with its heart founded in bringing diversity to, and creating Black visibility in, fantasy and creative spaces. Created by Owner Jasmine Tucker, she channeled her passion for fantasy and creativity into a tangible and uniting presence for minorities in areas where it had been previously lacking.The first ever Black Fae Day event occured on May 8th, 2021, virtually, which garnered global participation by Black creatives as well as the support of their allies. With an estimated 100,000 tweets, the associated hashtag (#blackfaeday) made it to at least #2 trending on Twitter on the day of the event. Activity of the hashtag was also high on other social media platforms and creative outlets, such as TikTok and Instagram.
