Black Healthcare Professionals Network (BHPN) is an organization aimed at supporting and developing a network of Black professionals from across a wide range of professions in the medical sector in Ontario. Our vision is to create an ecosystem of Black healthcare professionals in Ontario to expand the opportunities that Black healthcare professionals have to include business and entrepreneurship ventures. We will achieve this through curating networking opportunities, providing professional development seminars, developing cutting-edge technology, and collaboration. The BHPN has three main objectives1. Provide networking and business advisory services tailored to the unique challenges of Black healthcare professionals2. Develop an app and web-based directory of Black healthcare professionals from each field which has both public and professional interfaces.3. Establish a Mentorship ProgramThe BHPN is a four-year $1.5M program in partnership with the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. The BHPN is a division of Aspire for Higher, a black-led non-profit based in Ontario.
