Black Professional Men, Inc. (BPM) (www.bpminc.org) is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization based in Baltimore, Maryland. BPM was established in 1991 to address the social, economic, and political awareness needs of the African-American community, especially those of the African-American male. The mission of BPM is to "Ensure the Future of the African-American Male." BPM is a 100% volunteer organization. Members participate in a variety of community service initiatives to provide youth with exposure to different experiences and positive role models. BPM hosts seminars, workshops, and field trips within the Baltimore metro area for the young men and boys that we mentor. Moreover, BPM sponsors mentees on cultural and educational trips; attends Baltimore Raven's games; and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Conference. Each year BPM hosts the Rays of Hope Scholarship Breakfast, where college scholarships are awarded to 10 deserving young men.
