Black Swan Classic Jazz Band is a fun, artistic musical group that specializes in Dixieland, early jazz styles, ragtime and old-time gospel. The band loves the hot jazz of the 1920s and features the sizzling talents of vocalist Marilyn Keller. The front horn line consists of trumpet, trombone and clarinet, and is backed by tuba, banjo, piano and drums in the rhythm section. Black Swan was established in early 1989 and has since performed at numerous festivals and community events in Oregon, Montana, Arizona, Washington, Missouri, Iowa, California and British Columbia. A versatile group. the band can tastefully and softly caress an intimate room, fire up a large hall and keep the dancers cutting a rug.
