At BlackBox, we are working to produce the world's best energy technology. We have designed and are patenting quiet, lightweight, powerful energy generation technology. We are a startup research and development company focusing on clean, efficient energy production and storage. Formed to market and manufacture this research, starting with a 5kW portable generator that weighs only 50 pounds. Our power generation and energy storage technology will transform the markets for lightweight, efficient electricity production.Peak power consumption is a problem in cities. Especially in the summer months of peak power air conditioning use. Our proprietary motor-generator and bearing design allows efficient energy storage in a rotating mass. This is commonly referred to as flywheel energy storage. With the advent of carbon composite technology and better process controls, we have been able to make flywheel energy storage a cost effective alternative to chemical batteries.Our systems are great for off-grid homeowners as well. Storing more energy than batteries for less cost, as well as providing a robust system that will last decades with less maintenance than current technology.
