Blacktop Paving was incorporated in 2007 by a group who were experienced in the asphalt paving industry and were passionate to provide good quality asphalt paving to the Greater Edmonton Area. The talented craftsmen began filling potholes, paving driveways and small parking lots and have since grown into a reputable contractor able to perform large scale projects. Blacktop continued to grow, adding good experienced people and new equipment while maintaining the company philosophy on the importance of providing a good quality product, developing strong relationships and giving back to the community. With the increase in revenue, Blacktop was recognized in 2012 and 2013 as one of the top 50 fastest growing companies in Alberta. It was important that the Safety programs at Blacktop Paving crew with the company and as a proud holder of COR, a strong safety program and good buy in from employees Blacktop was recognized as having one of the top safety records for employers in Alberta by the Alberta Roadbuilders and Heavy Construction Association in 2015. Blacktop can also boast to having the lowest possible WCB rate for our industry category, a tribute to the ongoing success of our Safety programs and employee engagement. Blacktop Paving also believes in protecting and promoting our most valuable asset here in Alberta, its people. Blacktop participates in several community based recruitment and employment opportunity based services for a variety of people in need of help. Sometimes all people need is a chance to succeed and Blacktop believes in providing that chance. Some of these organizations are the Stan Daniels Center, Youth Power, Women Building Futures and Helmets to Hardhats.
