As an educational institution in the field of philological sciences, the "Blazhe Koneski" Faculty of Philology educates experts at the undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral level in the philological sciences. Its fundamental values and mission are the driving impulse in the realization of all points of action: a) firm commitment to the study of the language, literature, and culture; as well as to development and application of various methodologies in the description of a narrower and wider subject of interest by production of scientific works; and exchange of opinion, positions, and views on the relevant issues at forums, gatherings, and conferences; b) dedication in the delivery of the curricula by introducing a compulsory number of classes; other activities and constant contact with the students to monitor their achievements and to assist them in issues they may come across; an open and inclusive approach, that is, inclusion of the students in all levels of policy creation and positive practices of the faculty.The undergraduate studies at the Faculty last 4 years, with the teaching delivered in line with the criteria of the ECT system and the Bologna declaration since 2005. The educational and scientific work at the "Blazhe Koneski" Faculty of Philology is organized within eleven (11) departments or, more precisely, some twenty (20) study groups, with more than thirty (30) study programs and program combinations, and with more than twenty (20) languages and their literatures and cultures taught. The studies in conference interpretation, as the youngest studies in the large philological family, are organized with the expert and financial support of the Directorate General for Interpretation in Brussels. The Faculty educates its students, as well as its MA and PhD candidates in the spirit of humanity, democracy, and freedom of thought and expression.
