Food Processing - Centerport, NY, US
Small one-man local brewery producing wood-smoked and other odd rustic ales for the local Long Island and NYC markets. For the Hellsmoke Porter, malted barley is smoked over apple and alder wood at the brewery. Local organic potatoes are used in Long Island Potato Stout (the potatoes add dryness to this dry stout). Old Walt Smoked Wit is named after Long Island's Walt Whitman, with a small portion of the wheat smoked over mesquite at the brewery. Background notes of smoke, with the more traditional coriander and orange zest makes this a rustic wit.Vlad the Inhaler is a revival of a near-lost Polish style (Grodziskie), 99% wheat smoked over oak at the brewery. Very smoky, quite bitter with a generous portion of Saaz and Lublin hops.
