Online Media - London, England, United Kingdom
Blottr.com is a user generated service that enables anyone to capture, report, collaborate and discover news happening around them. Blottr is the fastest growing news service in the UK (traffic growth 20% MOM), and in August 2011 was recognised as a major source of breaking local news during the English riots, covering areas that were missed in traditional media channels. Contributors were able to report and collaborate by capturing images and adding updates in realtime. Such was Blottr's contribution in breaking news to the different communities affected that the site delivered 4 million unique visitors in August 2011, and this number is growing. The main site currently serves the following UK cities - Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leicester, Leeds, London and Manchester, with Newcastle and Liverpool launching soon. In Germany, Blottr.de is initially focused in Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Munich, and in France, Blottr.fr provides news for Paris, Marsaille and Lyon. The Blottr Deutschland site can be viewed at http://www.blottr.de, and the Blottr France site is accessible at http://www.blottr.fr.
