Explore…Conserve…RestoreOur mission: Decarbonization of Ocean Tourism, Exploration, Conservation, Restoration, and Small Island Transport. Our strategy is to develop, operate and share a scalable zero carbon marine exploration and transportation capacity in support of eco-tourism, citizen science, reef restoration, and ocean conservation education, all on either a (low) profitable basis or synergistically with profitable programs. How we'll do it-Phase I- Operate the R.V. Blue Heart, a Zero CO2 Exploration, Conservation, and Expeditionary Charter Vessel (and her sisterships). The R.V. Blue Heart will be equipped with four, 3 person submersibles with a depth capability of 1,000 meters; two, 10 meter zero carbon skiffs, convertible for scuba diving, passengers, or cargo. Further-Zero carbon small ship design, build, operate, lease, maintain for the marine tourism, research, transport, and citizen science industries. In the last 5 years, marine zero carbon clean technology has progressed to the point of nearly off-the-shelf tech, requiring only integration- and finance. It appears to have a high growth (but slow) potential, requiring patient capital, invested in hard assets. We have identified five vessels types, that will provide impact investors (both philanthropic and profit seeking in a blended finance strategy) with both maximum impact and reasonable returns. They are the RV Blue Heart , a zero carbon research and exploration vessel supporting tourism, citizen science, and research; Phase II- 45m inter-island transports for cargo and passengers focused on Oceania; 10m RIB's (rigid inflatable boat) to accompany yachts, research vessels, small ship tourism; day trip dive boats for 20-30 divers; day charter hybrid sail (snorkeling, sunset type excursions.Blue Heart of the Planet is an employee owned, democratically governed, public benefit company committed to gender equality.
