Blue Heron was formed in 2010 to provide planning, engineering, and documentation services in the water, wastewater, and water resources sectors. Our firm specializes in the optimization of sanitary sewer, combined sewer, and stormwater operations and maintenance (O&M) programs, and comprehensive utility personnel training. Blue Heron frequently evaluates the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) of front-line maintenance, inspection, and repair crews; aligns existing standard operation procedures (SOPs) with industry and local best practices; facilitates the introduction and adoption of new and advanced technologies; and provides manager mentoring and front-line training.Our expertise also spans watershed planning, ecosystem restoration, green infrastructure design and maintenance, stormwater and sanitary sewer design, sewer rehabilitation, permitting, funding, and technical writing.
