Our organization was founded in 2010. Family, friends, and supporters work tirelessly to keep our mission going. Blue Star Service Dogs honors all combat veterans and their families that serve our country with them. Many veterans are still 'In Combat' with invisible wounds after discharge from the military. By pairing them with their service dog and proper training, we support them in their challenge to come 'all the way home'. Our mission is to provide our military veterans diagnosed with PTSD and TBI another method of healing through service dogs and training. Through our programs, we seek to help heal visible and invisible wounds, provide families with new beginnings, and raise awareness about the potential of shelter and rescue dogs everywhere.
