Bluebird Experience is a small grassroots purpose driven group of citizen scientists demonstrating how to restore bluebirds and other cavity nesting songbirds through community collaboration one Bluebird nest box at a time. In the 1970's, Bluebirds and songbird populations were diminishing due to habitat loss and to the aggressive, invasive bird, House Sparrows. Bluebird Experience is a restoration project that started in 2007. Our goal is to create, motivate, and inspire people to become citizen scientists.Bluebird Legacy funds the inspirational and educational songbird restoration efforts of Bluebird Experience and the restoration of the Eastern Bluebird. Bluebird Legacy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions to Bluebird Experience help us continue to support our environmental initiatives.
