After a complete change in circumstance in my life. I had found myself trying to figure out how to survive from an absolutely devastating event. My boyfriend had been shopping for million dollar homes. He was a Real Estate investor and developer. We were two weeks away from moving into our dream home. He committed suicide.I became homeless and broke after supporting him for a year of no income. He claimed he was in a lawsuit and his bank accounts were unavailable. I believed him.I started living in a 30' camper, my car, and bouncing from home to home watching pets for people while they were on vacation. I was booked for a few months, then Covid hit. I lost the homes I had scheduled to pet sit and then the world shut down. I then became mobile transitioning to just my car and a tent. I was in a bad place mentally.I traveled solo to Alaska and began blogging about my journey. At first I had no choice in my living status. I had found solace in the outdoors and within nature. I camped solo for 200+ days. I began building a following on many social media outlets during this time. When camping off grid and being a woman in her 50's, who's disabled, (injured my back off duty-I worked in law enforcement and medically retired. I was shocked at how many people were interested in my story. It was the most difficult challenge in my life! I received numerous emails and messages from many of the followers, both men and women. They were either disabled or having their own struggles with life. They claimed I inspired them, but the truth of the matter, they inspired me. It has been over two years that I have been in this "place" in my life. I grew to embrace it. My goal is to continue without a permanent residence and live the nomad lifestyle.I want to make it to Bali and hope there I can recover financially while saving money for a conversion van.
