CUNY Service Corps is a program that incorporates service-learning, community service, and internship. Borough of Manhattan Community College students, together with CUNY students, faculty and staff work on projects that improve the short and long-term civic, economic and environmental sustainability of New York City's residents and communities.Service Corps members are part of a University cohort of students practicing service that is aligned with their civic and professional goals. Service placements last twenty-four weeks over two semesters. Participants work 12-hours per week. Corps members are paid $15/hour, and in some instances earn college credit.In addition to the diverse student body at BMCC as well as being part of the City University of New York (CUNY) system, students are provided with personalized services.
